Wine Estate Rings, Pfalz

The brothers Steffen and Andreas Rings are young, dynamic, innovative and quality-orientated winemakers.  In 2001 the older brother Steffen started to work in his father’s winery, but it was only in 2008 that he and his brother Andreas took over.

They succeeded to turn the bulk wine producing winery into a well noticed quality orientated estate in such a speed that a wine journal called them the formula one team among the German wine makers. Today they are participants of the talent program of VDP (Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter = Association of German Quality and Prädikat Wine Estates). The estates name shows up on the “List of the 100 best vine estates in Germany”, a list published since more than 25 years by the vine journal “Vinum” and “Handelsblatt”.

Producing dry white wines they follow a clear directive: Less is more! For them sustainability is a key point for successful wine making. Therefore they cultivate their vineyards in harmony with nature. To obtain a high quality they reduce the grapes at an early stage by cutting off those which fail the severe selection. Vintage is done manually as late as possible, the vine is fermented only with wild yeast. The outcomes are excellent, distinct white wines.
